The castle is in an excellent condition since it was restored in the 70's, so it needs minor interior restoration work to bring it up to date.

Establés Castle has a fascinating history. Located in an enclave of great strategic importance, in a highly fortified area in the Señorío de Molina, it was built in the 12th century as a watchtower. In 1432, D. Alvaro de Luna, chancellor of King Juan II ordered it repaired. Later it was violently conquered by D. Gastón de la Cerda Count of Medinaceli, who ordered its reconstruction in 1450.
